Inside Progress!

Hi All!

It's already been three weeks since our last update and wow, has so much changed! The siding and trim is almost finished - minus the trim piece over the front door that needs to be corrected and the top trim on the windows.

They have started making progress on the grading outside so they can pour the walkway and finish the front porch steps. John had a PVC pipe added under where the sidewalk will be poured to run electric wires for holiday spotlights, a lamp post (if we decide to put that in) and maybe to run electric out to the end of the driveway for string lights and gorgeous holiday wreathes (*insert heart-eye emoji here*).

You guys - there has been SO MUCH GOING ON inside the house. We went from bare drywall to primer, paint and tile in what seemed like a few minutes. We still do not have electric plugged in, so hardwood floors will need to wait a few more weeks until we can get the place temperature controlled. They've almost finished the tile in the bathrooms and laundry room, which should be done this week!

The left two photos are in the master. Our master shower has ceramic marble subway tiles that looks great with the movement in the gray-toned "wood" tile floors. I cannot wait to get our white vanities installed! The right two photos are the guest bath and laundry room - which are longer planks with a more earthy, brown tone. The vanity for the hall bath is a work in progress that we will have finished up and ready for install early this week! (stay tuned for the final product... yes, John made this bad boy on his own!)

Now for my absolute favorite part of the house - THE KITCHEN! Our cabinets went in last week and I couldn't be happier. The farm sink also went in and John may have seen a new level of excitement out of me than he has in the last 11 years. The kitchen, like our fireplace, will be the heart of the home. The one will be always visible from the other. This sink brings so much "old" in to this new house, just like the antiqued brick on the hearth. We cannot wait to have family and friends gathered around our massive island over holidays, parties or low-key nights in. The counters will be going in this week and then all that is left will be the floors and appliances (that will not be functional until we get electric run to the house, come on BGE!). These pictures (although you can see a tiny bit in the farm sink photo) are pre-trim on the top of the cabinets. I'll upload a finished photo when the counters so in!

Hope you all enjoyed this update! We will have another one very soon!
