In December, we came across a piece of property that absolutely stole our hearts. On six-and-a-half acres, the lot is perfectly nestled in the woods and is within walking distance to Rocks State park. It is situated next to a small horse farm and also near a few neighbors with large properties that still give it that "neighborhood" feel we've been searching for.
Back it up a few months, and John and I had almost had it with the resale market. We had been touring homes in the area for over a year, and it seemed like we were never going to find something that met our needs. Out of curiosity (and at that point, borderline desperation), we scheduled a meeting with Korey Homes to see if building our first home would be in the realm of possibility for us. The meeting with Korey was fantastic, and a few months later we stumbled upon our little paradise in the woods!
As if the holidays weren't enough, we spiraled into a world of construction loans, trim colors and home plans. The process has been overwhelming, to say the least! But the reward will be something we never would have dreamed to be ours. Settlement can not get here soon enough! We have kept ourselves busy with a few projects that we cannot wait to incorporate into the home (stay tuned!). We are so excited to document the process of building our home, and are thrilled to be sharing it with all of you!
